The Animal Spirit is a free resource for education and data used to teach children and adults value, respect, and care for the animals and environment around them. It includes reference material regarding a variety of animal issues including abuse prevention, caring for companion animals, cruelty-free living, Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR), and protecting wildlife.

Through the dissemination of ideas and the development of educational materials, The Animal Spirit has helped animal advocates, including educators, students, community members, grassroots organizations, shelters, rescues, and others, incorporate humane education into communities and schools.

We are all interconnected, not just with our human world, but with all sentient beings. Please join us in increasing empathy for animals by extending your circle of compassion.

We are now featured in Charity Guide's directory of volunteer opportunities. Inclusion is based on research and evaluation by a Features Journalist, with tier-2 review by a Senior Editor and Executive Director. May all beings everywhere be free from suffering;
may all beings everywhere be peaceful;
may all beings everywhere be happy.

Homeless Animal Lifeline's (HAL) mission includes creating educational programs for the community.
We hope that you find The Animal Spirit to be a helpful tool for humane education and humane living.
